Billing.
What is a credit?
One credit is £0.01 of AI usage at Duscode's prices, and the app shows it in pounds ("£4.20 used"), never in tokens. Usage costs the provider's published price plus our margin, which covers card fees, exchange rates and running the service. Each task's receipt shows what it cost.
What happens when my credits run out?
You get a heads-up at 80%, in the app and by email. At 100%, Dus finishes the step it is on (it never stops mid-edit), then pauses and asks: buy £10 of credits, switch to Economy, or use your own key. Auto top-up is off unless you turn it on, with a monthly limit you set.
Which models answer?
Duscode Fast, Standard and Max are tiers. The app always names the real model and provider behind each one, in the model picker and in every task. Your code goes to that provider only to answer your request, under its business terms; see Security for retention.
Why is Bring your own key cheaper?
Because it includes no usage: you pay your provider directly, at their prices. You get the same agent, routing and gates. You can still top up with credits when it suits you.
Do I need a card for Free?
No. Free includes a £1 trial on Duscode credits, once per person, or you can add your own provider key.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and stay active until the end of the period you paid for. Included credits renew with the plan; unused bought credits can be refunded. Payments are handled by Stripe.
What happens if I'm offline?
Your plan is checked with a signed licence that works offline. If Duscode can't reach the cloud for a few days, it falls back to Free, never to nothing.
